The ability to bring out the best in other people is the leading competitive edge in 21st century leadership. Being a coach is therefore an unavoidable role that one must master, not only at work but also in other roles we undertake in life. Coaching allows the leaders to achieve results through empowerment (not simply relying on control and authoritative power). Coaching skills help leaders to develop accountability for results without creating defensiveness. Coaching skills allows leaders to achieve greater impact and better results through their people through encouraging both the heart and the mind.

It is a fact that we spend the majority of our time at work and it is therefore for our own good, not to mention the good of the family and the entire community, that we find happiness at work. The environmental factors for example the corporate culture and the leadership style do play a key role in determining the employees’ happiness and satisfaction at work, however the well-being of the employees can also be raised through the individual employee’s own effort.

This program is designed to help individuals take charge of their own performance and happiness at work. This program uses the latest research and knowledge in positive psychology to provide a practical framework for individuals to achieve sustainable optimal performance and happiness at work.
• The impact of self-imposed limitations on performance
• The three approaches to happiness and performance
• Harnessing the power of positive emotions
• Creating flow and engagement at work
• Creating meaning and purpose
• Identifying strengths and strengths-based approach
• Cultivate a positive mindset for work and life satisfaction

Comments from the participants:
• The course content is very great.
• A valuable opportunity because the course is meaningful. It is applicable not just to my work but to also my life
• I can understand myself and discover my strengths. I can inspire my subordinates to discover theirs and encourage them to use it at work.
• It allows me to re-assess myself: stop a moment to reflect, think and plan ahead
• Thank you for giving me a framework to make my work and my life more beautiful
• The course encourages me to use another point of view to solve problems.
• It is very inspiring and I would recommend it to others people
• I love the part about strengths and how to make good use of our strengths

Happier individuals • Happier teams • Happier organizations • Happier society

Building happy, high performance teams
We specialize in coaching leaders and their teams on the art and science of applying positive psychology to build happy, high performance teams. We help them achieve performance in a sustainable, engaging and meaningful way. If one is not happily engaged at work, it is unlikely that he/she can truly be happy and satisfied in life. If one is not happily engaged at work, it is unlikely that he/she is performing at their best. So it is our mission to help individuals create the conditions that bring out the best in themselves. In a nutshell, we are in the business of happiness.

Why we choose the name Third Thinking?
Real-world challenges and problems rarely fall neatly into the dualities of black/white; right/wrong or yes/no. In fact it is often the dualistic approach that gets us stuck. Nowhere is this more true than where human performance is concerned.

Building cross-cultural leadership
The cross-cultural strength of Third Thinking is in integrating the concepts from Western research and insight into human behaviour, and adapting these to become relevant, meaningful and accessible in a Chinese context. This applies equally to leaders from a Western background operating in a Chinese environment and therefore are least well-equipped to understand their own impact on their teams; or to leaders who are Chinese but understand the concepts and thinking from the Western approach – and find it runs headlong into the expectations and viewpoints of their Chinese teams.
