Building happier high performing teams
We specialize in coaching leaders and their teams on the art and science of applying positive psychology in the workplace, to build happy and high performing teams. We help them achieve performance in a sustainable, engaging and meaningful way. If one is not happily engaged at work, it is unlikely that he/she can truly be happy and satisfied in life. If one is not happily engaged at work, it is unlikely that he/she is performing at their best. So it is our mission to help individuals create the conditions that bring out the best in themselves. In a nutshell, we are in the business of happiness.
Our services
- One-on-one leadership coaching for successful leaders who are working to expand their leadership effectiveness; for leaders who are preparing to move into or have recently taken on new roles; and for leaders who are underperforming because of unproductive leadership behaviors.
- Group learning programs for groups of leaders with a shared development need in selected areas. Development areas supported are: broadening influence skills, developing more impactful communications, building team engagement, and coaching skills for leaders. Most popular programs are Positive Leadership to create conditions for a high engagement and high performance environment and Coaching Skills for Leaders where leaders are stretched to look beyond the day-to-day job practicalities to harness the potential of their teams.

Why we choose the name Third Thinking?
Real-world challenges and problems rarely fall neatly into the dualities of black/white; right/wrong or yes/no. In fact it is often the dualistic approach that gets us stuck. Nowhere is this more true than where human performance is concerned.
What’s special about Third Thinking?
- The cross-cultural strength of Third Thinking is in integrating the concepts from Western research and insight into human behaviour, and adapting these to become relevant, meaningful and accessible in a Chinese context. This applies equally to leaders from a Western background operating in a Chinese environment and therefore are least well-equipped to understand their own impact on their teams; or to leaders who are Chinese but understand the concepts and thinking from the Western approach – and find it runs headlong into the expectations and viewpoints of their Chinese teams.
